Cancer is the scourge of Kentucky and it affects everyone. The Commonwealth of Kentucky has the most cancer-ridden population of any state in America, with some of the highest rates of cancer for nearly all types of the disease. If you are going to do one thing to help battle cancer in Kentucky, it should be to support and work at the Markey Cancer Center. The only cancer center in Kentucky designated by the National Cancer Institute.

Through individual and team effort, execute against goals specified in the development plan to raise philanthropic funds, create new relationships and deepen existing ones.

As a front-line fundraiser, cultivate and solicit gifts primarily in the range of $25,000 to $750,000. Secure 120-135 face-to-face visits per year. 40% of these visits are to be for qualification purposes. Responsible for developing and meeting a visit, solicitation and proposal goal each year. After a period of orientation, a fundraising dollar goal will be established with an expectation of success. Research and engage in training opportunities for annual fund and major gift fundraising to enhance success.
