Job Description

Bethany Theological Seminary invites applications for the position of Executive Director of Institutional Advancement (ED). The ED reports directly to the President of the Seminary and is an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees’ Institutional Advancement Committee. The ED supervises a full-time Director of Marketing and Communications, full-time Development Officer, and a full-time administrative assistant.

The ED will manage the overall operations of development, alumni relations, local community relations, and institutional communications. The ED will strategize and actively work to build relationships with a variety of constituents, enlisting financial support for the Seminary and serves as a member of the President’s Leadership Team.

Bachelor’s degree is required, and master’s degree is preferred. At least 5 years of fundraising experience, preferably in Higher Education, is required. The ability to work effectively with many diverse constituencies in a religious environment should be evident, and knowledge of Church of the Brethren values and practice is beneficial. Salary range is $85k-$95k annually.
