WHO WE NEED
St. Joseph Home is looking for an outstanding partner to help us manage our Donor Relations. We need someone who can lead our donor relations efforts, our donor database and manage our ever expanding research. In this role the individual would be both a detailed tactician as well as contribute to the broader strategic thinking of the development department.

JOB SUMMARY
The Donor Database and Research Associate will be responsible for the maintaining and building our donor list and effectively manage our contacts to maximize our giving efforts. In this role, the individual will also be responsible for the management of the SJH Donor Database and research activities. S/He will work closely with the Development/Advancement team ensuring all efforts are in harmony, sound and strategic.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION
• Raisers Edge CRM
• Monitors and tracks all donor giving and event participation
• Maintains our CRM database assuring that it is up to date and monitors it closely for any possible trends that need to be addressed. Data analysis includes reports, data extraction, segmentation and forecasting
• Responsible for training others in development activities and procedures
• Keeps the development team up to date with regular reports and donor/giving status
• Processes new and continual giving activities and properly enters information into the database
• Researches new and potential donors and works in concert with the others in the development department to develop a prospecting list – helps build prospects
• Handles all “wealth screening” of potential donors to determine high value targets
• Secures successful datamining to reach department goals
• Maintains data integrity by regular systems checks and audits
• Enters all gifts and prepares all acknowledgements in accordance with our protocols

• Donor Engagement and Stewardship
• Monitors and tracks donor touch points
• Tracks all donors on the Giving Continuum in order to highlight trends and key prospects
• Partners as needed with the Major Gift Officer and Grant Manager to supply necessary information to develop a donor / Foundation and fund raising strategy
• Manages and tracks all tributes and honorariums

• Events
• Oversees the logistics for SJH events
• Tracks event data

• Administration
• Maintains the Development Department Manual
• Manages the Development Department calendar
• Coordinates and oversees the Development Department work plan
• Tracks and coordinates all of the Development Department metrics
• Keeps all minutes from the Development Committee meetings

• Committee Membership
• Member of the board’s Development Committee
• Member of all Events Committees

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in related profession
• Demonstrated success in database management
