  • Develops a plan to grow annual giving by identifying, prospecting, segmenting, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual donors.
  • Creates and executes all aspects of annual giving campaigns such as direct mailings, appeal letters, email solicitations, print and email newsletters, annual thank you postcard, annual report content, and other correspondence. Responsibilities include writing, managing supplies, printing or production, first-class or bulk mailing, creating segmented donor lists, exporting donor information, and managing volunteers.
  • Maintains, updates and manages fundraising database and online email database. Ensures high data quality of all record types in both databases. Utilizes fundraising database to create queries and run reports.
  • Researches, builds, and maintains prospect and donor profile records.
  • Creates and implements processes to document notes and conversations with all prospects and donors.
  • Records and processes all cash, credit card, recurring, and in-kind donations in fundraising database and prepares gift acknowledgements in timely manner.
  • Leads Legacy Program including managing inventory, responding to inquiries, collaborating with Conservation & Parks staff, and communicating with donor throughout the process.
  • Assists in solicitation and stewardship for major giving, capital, and planned giving campaigns by identifying prospects from annual giving base, running donor reports, and collaborating in drafting correspondence.
  • Performs administrative tasks related to board and general operations of Great Parks Forever.
  • Supports major initiatives of the Philanthropy division outside the annual giving program, including grants, sponsorships, and cultivation and fundraising events.
  • Manages effective communication of division goals and objectives with other departments, leadership, and peers.
  • Performs job duties in accordance with Great Parks of Hamilton County’s policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Represents Great Parks at appropriate networking and information exchange opportunities including conferences, training sessions and seminars.
  • Accounts for cash transactions. Complies with all cash handling policies and enforces cash control procedures.
  • Manages expenditures, submits purchase requests, and approves invoices and purchasing card transactions in accordance with agency standards.
  • Maintains confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and punctual attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required.

Qualifications

  • An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is:
    • Associate’s degree with 5 years of professional fundraising and database experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of professional fundraising and database experience. Experience in fundraising for public agencies is a plus.
  • Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.

Salary Range: $24.75 to 30.94 Hourly
