Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented project manager and writer to join our team as a Grants and Communication Specialist. This individual will be responsible for managing a robust grants program to achieve meaningful revenue to support our programs, in addition to the creation and distribution of communication to amplify the community will and share stories of impact for Beech Acres Parenting Center to the public.

  • Write and submit grants to local, state, and national funders.
  • Track grant progress and manage reporting requirements, including interim and final reports.
  • Research new grant opportunities and keep abreast of changes in the funding landscape.
  • Manage relationships and communications with funders as appropriate.
  • Work with internal partners to develop and write new cases for support and identify internal funding priorities.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop project budgets and ensure grant compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date grant records and files.
  • Assist with other fundraising and development activities as needed.
  • Coordinate internal communications and design work for the Development office, creating, and disseminating engaging content, and maintaining consistent messaging across various channels.
  • Create content and materials to amplify messaging for virtual events, live events and fundraising as needed.
  • Create an effective communication plan that promotes awareness of Beech Acres Parenting Center’s special events and fundraising campaigns.
  • Assist in the development of content for marketing for all fundraising events.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, communications, or related field is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in grant writing and administration.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in creating content for various platforms, including print, digital, and social media.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative communication strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
