Position Overview:
Annual Programs Manager reports to the Director of Philanthropy and is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive annual giving program for Cincinnati Museum Center. This position will take into consideration the Museum’s current membership model and will utilize all annual giving tools to facilitate acquisition, retention and increased investment amongst current and future donors, including corporations. The Annual Programs Manager will also work closely with the Director of Individual and Corporate Giving to execute the strategy and plan philanthropy related events.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage annual giving tactics employing passive marketing vehicles through a multi-channel approach including direct mail, email, web activation, and phone
  • Utilize conditional content and segmentation strategy to reach various audiences
  • Acquire new and retain/upgrade existing donors while taking into consideration the Museum’s membership model at all levels
  • Support, enhance and maintain philanthropic members and corporations at and above the $250 level
  • Develop strategy and determine appropriate design elements for each piece; work closely with the Manager of Donor Communications to develop copy
  • Work closely with the CMC Marketing and Communication team to design and produce various pieces for solicitation and stewardship
  • Collaborate with the Director of Donor Relations to support the present annual giving donor stewardship strategy; make adjustments in strategy where necessary
  • Plan and implement the annual Business Partner campaign: a campaign that provides the Museum’s Business Partners with benefits for their employees
  • Manage and utilize donor database to query data, create segments and prepare reports to evaluate effectiveness of strategy
  • Lead efforts to maintain and enhance data integrity in donor database; support the philanthropy team with database support and reporting needs
  • Plan donor stewardship and cultivation events; including, but not limited to, exhibition openings, OMNIMAX® Film openings, gallery talks, and collections tours

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a non-profit fundraising environment
  • Project management and/or annual giving strategy experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to develop the overall annual giving solicitation and stewardship strategy
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Previous event planning experience preferred
  • Must be team-oriented, self-directed, and able to effectively manage priorities and projects
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or other prospect management software preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
