Designed with Your Schedule in Mind: New 2026 Program Timing

About the Sessions

Planned Giving on the Run (PGOTR) is designed for fundraising professionals who are just beginning to work in Planned Giving. Whether your organization has a robust planned giving program, or you’re building a new planned giving program, PGOTR will equip you with the foundational knowledge and playbook you need to get started.

Over the course of six months, you will learn the fundamentals of planned giving, including: an overview of planned giving vehicles; how to identify, qualify, and cultivate planned giving prospects; making the ask and closing the gift; stewardship and ethics; and more!

Each session will include presentations by local professionals in planned giving, group discussions, handouts and resources, and practical applications so you can begin implementing what you are learning in real time.

Planned Giving on the Run has is starting its sixteenth session in as many years here in Cincinnati.  It has trained over 200 people in our community in that time.  Each session commonly consists of 15-20 students, including executive and/or development directors, frontline fundraisers, development coordinators, as well as those staff hired to specialize in gift planning.  In addition, each session typically consists of a dozen or so individuals from the financial or legal fields, including attorneys, wealth planners, and bank trust officers.
