Planned Giving on the Run (PGOTR) is designed for fundraising professionals who are just beginning to work in Planned Giving. Whether your organization has a robust planned giving program, or you’re building a new planned giving program, PGOTR will equip you with the foundational knowledge and playbook you need to get started.
Over the course of six months, you will learn the fundamentals of planned giving, including: an overview of planned giving vehicles; how to identify, qualify, and cultivate planned giving prospects; making the ask and closing the gift; stewardship and ethics; and more!
Each session will include presentations by local professionals in planned giving, group discussions, handouts and resources, and practical applications so you can begin implementing what you are learning in real time.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to opt-in to be paired with a coach to support you between sessions and beyond PGOTR.
Planned Giving on the Run participants are offered the opportunity to be matched with a mentor at the beginning of the series. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please contact Mentor Chair, Rhonda Curtis at rhonda.curtis@gmail.com.

In addition, each session typically consists of a dozen or so individuals from the financial or legal fields, including attorneys, wealth planners, and bank trust officers.
