TOPIC: Stages to Planning Optimal Estate Gifts
Based upon an article that Marc wrote for Planned Giving Today, his presentation explores how planned giving officers can borrow a tried-and-true “Stages” system from our counterparts in the financial services field to more effectively plan gifts, especially in a way that donors will actually involve us early and often in their planning process and not just at a shallow level of providing will language and registering legacy society members. The culmination of this system is creating an effective Discovery Agreement Memo (proposal) for the donors to then take to their advisors.
